Bride Style Information

Wedding Style

Playful yet elegant garden party with vintage charm. Romantic, colorful, and creative. Relaxed yet still refined.

Personal Style

Haha, so I must be honest that I don't 100% know how to answer this... but I'd say I'm sort of creative casual? I'm an artist, so in my everyday I like to play with color and patterns, but I'm not a very "over the top" kind of dresser. For my everyday makeup, I favor natural, dimensional styles—focusing on enhancing my eyes and keeping a soft, almost flushed look. When it comes to hair, I am honestly pretty clueless and usually just wear mine up.

Hair Ideas

I'm still deciding between an updo and having my hair down. I have very straight hair and would love to have it curled, whether it's up or down. I do have a Pinterest where I've been saving some styles (mostly updos). I like the idea of being able to switch from hair up to hair down after the ceremony, but I realize that might be financially unrealistic in asking a stylist to stick around. Hair Concerns

Due to some health issues (that thankfully have since improved), my hair did thin down in the past year. My hair is very fine, so because of that paired with the thinning it doesn't look as thick as I'd like-- but honestly, it's not really that noticeable (except to me, of course), but I do want to chose a style that makes me hair look full.

Will you be wearing hair extensions?

I've never done this, so it's something I'd consider if I need it for fullness-- but I'd need guidance. Perhaps something we could discuss at the trial?

Makeup Ideas

I'd say I'm sort of going for a soft natural(ish) glam with a little more drama around the eyes (but not too intense). I like rosy soft blush and natural looking skin. I'd like my eyes to be the focal point, and I'm not a fan of dramatic lip colors with my skin tone (I'm fairly pale).

Makeup Concerns

My health issues this past year also did impact my skin. Thankfully, it's not terrible-- but I do have a bit more texture than I used to and tend to get some dryness under my eyes (I'm very good about moisturizing). This is a point of anxiety for me, as I'd like my skin to look luminous and healthy but I also don't want to look like the makeup is caking (and I don't want to feel as if I'm wearing a mask).

Bridesmaid Hair Ideas

Not really! I'm pretty flexible and want to cater to each bridesmaid's preference -- I do think curled hair looks so lovely, but I don't have a hyper specific vision. My bridesmaids have varying lengths of hair, but 3 of them have fairly long straight hair. The other three have more textured hair, some very short and other mid-length. The only thing I'd say I don't want is Hollywood glam waves for the bridesmaids-- I'd rather keep the styles a bit more simple.

I’d love for the bridesmaids’ makeup to be soft glam and natural-looking—nothing too dramatic. I want each of them to feel like their best self and have a say in their look, but I’d prefer to avoid anything too bold, like super dark eye looks, so everything stays cohesive in photos. None of my bridesmaids are particularly heavy makeup wearers, so I don't think this should be an issue.
