Additional Makeup Notes:
Teresa's inspo pictures show different levels of soft glam. She stated that she doesn't wear very much makeup but is comfortable with the feeling of makeup and understood that for the makeup to show up in pictures, she would need a little more than her everyday makeup. She said she has very dry skin and wanted to makeup sure the makeup felt comfortable and didn't look too powery. She also had a healing scar from a mole removal that we were gonna cover up. Teresa wasn't too concerned with the level of cover up we used on the scar as it's only 2 weeks old and assumes it will be gone by the time of her wedding. Depsite having her pictures, she said she was still unsure of what exactly she wanted as she's not a big makeup wearer and was excited to experiment and find her look. She was comfortable trying individual lashes.
For her skin prep we used an Ursa Major Toner Pad so gently exfoliate her skin. We then spray her face with Avene Thermal Water and went over that with the Laneige Cream Skin Toner. To give her skin a nice layer of hydration we used the Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre and primed her skin the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I also used a little Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask to prep her lips.
For eyes we used a little bit of Kosas Concealer to start with a flat base and used eyeshadow from the Makeup by Mario Ethereal Eyes Palette and the Neutrals Palette. For eyeliner we used a brown Charlottle Tilbury Kohl Pencil and smudge it out with eyeshadow. The individual lashes we used were Sweed No Lashes Lashes along with Maybelline black waterproof mascara.
To start her complexion we used Nars Soft Matte concealer to cover any blemishes and her scar. For foundation we used Christian Dior Face and Body Foundation in light layers, building up until we had light to medium coverage. We used Makeup by Mario bronzing sticks in light for her bronzer and set that with the Hourglass Ambient Lightening 3 pan palette in the bronzing shade. For blush we used Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in the shade At Night. We used the Kosas Concealer in the shade 0.5N and set that with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Brightening Powder and lightly baked just in the inner corners with Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Powder. We sprayed her face with Mac Fix Plus to set the powder into her skin and make it look less powdery. To bring more glow to her cheeks we used a touch of the Makeup by Mario blush sticks in the shade Dusty Rose and highlighted her cheeks with the Christian Dior highlight palette.
For brows we just used a little bit of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze and various brow powders from the ABH brow powder palette.
For lips we lined them with Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Light and mixed Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick with a bit of the Laneige Lip Mask for a more natural finish.
We sprayed her whole face with the One Size Mattfying Waterproof Setting Spray to lock everything in and then went over that with the Charlottle Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray for a more comfortable feel on the skin.
Overall Teresa was very happy with her look. During the initial reveal she said that she loved it but maybe felt that she would want something lighter for her eyes and cheeks as she's not used to wearing that level of makeup. We both agreed that we would wait until her hair was done so that she can get the full idea of what it would look like once it all came together. She reached out to me via text after the hair trial and said that once she had her hair done the makeup looked less drastic like we thought it would and said she loved the outcome. She'll reach out to me between now and her wedding if she wants to make any changes but as of right now we nailed it!
