Bride Hair
Bride Hair Trial Notes:
- bride is undecided on all down with one side up or a sleek ponytail.
- used a 1" iron and elongated curls that were combed out - did not set
- has fine hair, but a lot of it
- if going with the ponytail, we will flat iron her hair and make it very precise and smooth with her natural part on the far left.
- we will also place the ponytail at the occipital bone, not too high.
- Flowers may be used, the bride will ask the florist to provide clippings that are loose and not bigger than 25 cents
- used stay strong, hair did get a bit staticy.
Beachy waves (down) with tight side braid instead of pin up.
I loved the look of the waves down with the hair pinned up above my left ear. Instead of a hairclip, I’d like a tight french side braid or fishtail that bends around the left ear (not just straight down). With the side part on my left side, that will give the entire vibe the classic side swept look, but with a little more edge / my vibe. I will ask the florist for small cuttings and we could pop a few of them in the braid. I will stand on the right side of the altar, so the audience will have a clear view of the braid and my face.
Let’s use a larger barrel size on the curling iron to get less ringlet / more wave, like the image below. I imagine my hair will relax a bit, so starting somewhere between this image and the ringlets from the trial.

Additional Makeup Notes:
- Pointelle was too plumy, wants a warmer crease color. - try Solar Power from 35U
- make sure to rematch foundation shade
- Lip is Bombshell with gloss
- brows Winky medium gel
- Dewy setting spray
Here are two images for makeup. I loved the light makeup look, and want to keep foundation light. Let's skip the setting powder as well, my undereye wrinkles look too pronounced in the images you've sent, and perhaps the powder is caught in the creases. The skintone photos from the trial look a little flat/one-note, which makes sense for the low-makeup vibe, but without applying a ton more product, I’d like more color. Let’s go with a lighter shade of concealer for undereyes and darker /heavier on the cheeks bronzer, for a more shapely vibe.
Color wise, eyes and cheeks both copper/bronze. The copper/bronze eye makeup in the image below is the kind of shade that looks great on me (with tan skin), but that’s more eye makeup than I want.
I’d also like to darken the lip color. The bombshell is beautiful, but I noticed in the images you shared that it is too close to my skin tone, even without a tan. I’m still uncertain about the right shade here, it’d be great to consider a few options once the rest of the look is done, but I like the color in the image above (still bronze, but pinker).
